It's a Treasure Hunt!!

Gather supplies. Yellow construction paper, brown construction paper,
scissors, black marker

Fold brown paper as shown, leaving about an inch overhang

Draw on top of folded brown construction paper, with black marker, to
resemble a treasure chest

Draw 6 circles on yellow construction paper. You could use a cup to trace
around, if needed.

Cut out circles. (then you will hide the circles and send your child on a
treasure hunt to find them! You can place them in a bible, a mirror at eye level, a
photo of a friend, a photo of a family member, etc…)

Place found treasure on inside of brown construction paper (treasure
chest) and have your child tape or glue them if you want to!

Moving On!

Gather supplies.  A box (or plastic tub), sand (you could use brown construction paper or a brown towel instead), wood blocks (we used ones from a stacking game), rocks (we used cotton balls and marbles), a boy and girl toy, scissors, pencil, little rectangle pieces of paper for signs and tape.

Place sand (or paper) in bottom of box.

Place boy and girl characters in back of box. (we added animals, too!)

Write the following names on the strips of rectangle paper:  Haran, Shecham, Egypt, Bethel and Hebron.  Attach the paper to the wood blocks with tape, creating signs for where the people travel.

Photo 5 – Set up signs in the sand.

Place stacks of rocks by each sign.

Your project is complete!
